The Marulho Project is an audiovisual representation of the acoustic environment of Rio de Janeiro’s beaches, exhibited on an unconventional canvas. The compositions were created to visually recreate the richness of the marulhos (the sounds of the sea) of Rio de Janeiro.
My role was to assemble the visual elements into a single composition, aligning the graphics with the audio and preparing this composition for integration into TouchDesigner. The guidelines and parameters for understanding and animating each beach had already been established, so my task was to organize the video file to match the proposed display format without interference. This organization was essential to ensure the material would remain distortion-free on the day of the evaluation, which took place through a collective exhibition of all projects.
